Cloned Puppies are Here!

New Scientist reports, South Korean scientists have genetically engineered four Beagles to glow in the dark.

Thank God, I now have choices. I can either clone my old dog at BestFriendsAgain for $150,000 or I can hit up Professor Lee Byeong-Chun of Seoul National University to get one of the ‘Ruppy’ pups who glow red under ultraviolet light.

The cloned Beatles are not vanity pups. They are transgenic dogs developed using a cloning technique that could help develop cures for human diseases.

Between this and the latest stem cell breakthroughs, I am more optimistic than ever that I’ll be able to replace my eyes with a pair of Nikon vatgrowns.
