ML Featured in an Article on Open Source Office Apps

We were just featured in an article on the use of Open Source office applications on Small Business Computing. It is true that we have migrated most of our office applications to Google Docs and occasionally Zoho. We do, on occasion, use Apple’s Pages. In addition, we are huge users and advocates for Zoho’s CRM program. It’s what helps us keep track of our customer funnel and our contacts.

It never ceases to amaze me how many applications are available inexpensively or for free. David Rose of NY Angels has mentioned that he has gone from spending $20 million to start his first company, $2 million to start his next company, to watching people today start companies for $2,000. With the great and inexpensive tools available, is that any surprise?

Instead of focusing on the tools, we can actually focus on being creative and making the next big breakthroughs whether in company-building or communications.

Special thanks to Jennifer Schiff of Schiff and Schiff who interviewed us and wrote the article.
