“Chessa” (12K) is Shuttle 358’s third release after his undisputed minimal ambient masterpiece “Frame.” Los Angeles-based Dan Abrams focuses on the passage of time and the intimate details of the Big City to create deeply intimate, warm and organic music. As with previous releases, Shuttle 358 suggests vast expanses from minimal sounds, precisely layered and repeated. As with Eno’s Ambient Series Volumes 1-4, this is music for late-night introspection or to spark creative genius.
