Excellent article in today’s NY Times. Here’s an amazing fact: Brooklyn is larger population-wise than San Francisco, Boston, Atlanta and St. Louis – combined.
The article gives a nice overview of the borough but can’t, of course, go into too many details.
That means no mention of the skatepark at Owl’s Head or the Autumn Bowl in Berlinsburg, ambient music nights at Halcyon (and it’s soon to be opened re-incarnation), the new biotechnology center being formed at Downstate and the restaurant rows on Smith Street, Fifth Avenue, Metropolitan Avenue and down in Bay Ridge. But those, and many many others, are the reasons why Brooklyn.
