Writing about music for my blog is my way of sharing something you might not be aware exists. Such is the case with the ambient microsound recordings that I’m focusing on. Taylor Dupree’s “Stil” (12K) is an excellent example of the genre and the stuff he releases on his label. The CD’s four deep, long tracks present tiny sounds looped and layered upon each other. The sounds blend to form dreamy rhythms that create a micro-environment, a place that is deep, deep under the sea or far far away from the urban and urbane.
