According to iHealthBeat Monday, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced his intent to deploy a $100 million electronic health records system in the City’s 100 community clinics and 11 hospitals. These hospitals handle some five million patients each year.

That’s according to the California Healthcare Foundation’s most recent survey.
Interestingly, the CHCF had conducted a similar study in 1999 that showed 3/4s of Americans were concerned with their medical record confidentiality.
